Join the NJDC for a lively political evening as Orthodox Jew and Swarthmore Graduate Representative Peter Deutsch talks alongside NJDC Executive Director Ira Forman

When: 7pm sharp

Where: Temple Beth Hillel Beth El, Lancaster Avenue and Remington Road

Who: Rep. Peter R. Deutsch (Florida 20th District, Ft. Lauderdale) speaks with NJDC Executive Director Ira Forman in favor of Kerry, who will then be followed by Former Mayor of New York Ed Koch.

Wednesday, October 13th, 7:15-9 p.m. at the Kaiserman JCC -- the NJDC will take part in a debate sponsored by the Kaiserman, Klein, and Gershman JCC's on Judaic Values in the Presidential Election, moderated by Jane Eisner of the Philadelphia Inquirer and featuring Jewish Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY.).  You are then invited to stay at the JCC to watch the third presidential debate. 

Speaking last Friday at Temple University in Philadelphia about "Fighting the War on Terrorism," Senator John Kerry spoke clearly and powerfully about his commitment to Israel:

"Let it be clear that the issue here is advancing democracy in Arab nations, not yielding to pressure to undermine Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. Our alliance with Israel – the survival and security of Israel – are non-negotiable. The only solution is a Jewish state of Israel living side by side in security and peace with a democratic Palestinian state. That is what we need to achieve."
