In observance of Yom Kippur, the NJDC Philadelphia will not be scheduling 
campaign-related events for Friday or Saturday.  On behalf of all of us here 
at the NJDC, we wish you an easy fast and a reflective start to the new year.

This Sunday, September 26th, 6 p.m. – (Cell phone) “Banking in the Burbs!”
Join us this Sunday, 6 p.m., at 276 Barwynne Lane in Wynnewood.  Bring your 
cell phone, as we reach out to Jewish voters in nearby Montgomery County.  
For the first of our weekly “Banking in the Burbs”, we will talk about 
issues that matter to Jews in this area.  IF YOU CAN’T MAKE IT INTO CENTER 
CITY, come to Banking in the Burbs!

The time is now.  The polls show a statistical dead heat in Pennsylvania and 
nationally, and it is time for YOU to be involved.  If there is something 
that we need to do, a place we need to be, contact us.  You are the base of 
engaged Jewish Philadelphians, who we need to capture the Jewish vote.  Do 
not take your responsibility for granted…get involved, and work hard to 
convince voters that John Kerry is best for Israel and Jewish values.  In 
2000, Florida was decided by just over 500 votes.  In 2004, the Jewish vote 
in the Philadelphia region, which numbers far more than 500, will make the 
difference!  GET INOLVED!

ACTION ALERT -- HOW YOU CAN HELP THE NJDC SHOW THAT KERRY IS BEST FOR ISRAEL
1) PHONE BANK!  Get the message out about Kerry, Israel, and Jewish values!  
We have phone banking in Center City, and now in the suburbs.  There are no 
excuses!
2) Schedule NJDC @ your synagogue – schedule a discussion with an NJDC 
representative at your men’s club or sisterhood.  E-mail eric@njdc.org for

3) NJDC @ home – host an NJDC house party, where you can explain to voters

take part in a debate sponsored by the Kaiserman, Klein, and Gershman JCC's  
on Judaic Values in the Presidential Election, moderated by Jane Eisner of 
the Philadelphia Inquirer and featuring Jewish Rep. Gary Ackerman (D-NY.).  
You are then invited to stay at the JCC to watch the third presidential 
debate.
