"Simple: George W. knows that running against a
caricature of John Kerry gives him a better chance
at a second term than embracing his own record. Or the truth."
- Boston Globe columnist Scot Lehigh
“Stem cell research is a phony issue.” – Former Mayor of New
York Ed Koch, speaking in Wynnewood, 10/4/04
“"To my knowledge, I have not seen any strong, hard
evidence that links the two (Al Qaeda and Saddam Hussein).” – Defense Secretary
Donald Rumsfeld
Speaking Friday at Temple University in Philadelphia
about "Fighting the War on Terrorism," Senator John Kerry spoke
clearly and powerfully about his commitment to Israel: "Let it be clear that the issue
here is advancing democracy in Arab nations, not yielding to pressure to
undermine Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East. Our alliance with
Israel – the survival and security of Israel – are non-negotiable. The only
solution is a Jewish state of Israel living side by side in security and peace
with a democratic Palestinian state. That is what we need to achieve."

Kerry spoke Temple University on Friday 9/24/04:
“George Bush made Saddam Hussein the priority. I would have made Osama bin
Laden the priority," Kerry said. "I will finish the job in Iraq and I will
refocus our energies on the real war on terror.”

The Republican National Convention features more baseless Anti-Kerry
rhetoric! -- Washington Post,
"Guiliani Charges Lack Context"
Why the security fence (which George Bush opposed until 2004) is
necessary --
"Peace and Non-Fiction":
"The security fence is a reality growing directly from the inability of
Palestinian leadership to stop terrorism as it promised it would before the
world on the lawn of the White House Rose Garden in 1993"
From Israel and Ha'aretz --
"Not anti-American, but Anti-Bush". -- "The
behavioral norms that George W. Bush and his people are trying to impose,
both at home and in the international arena, arouse aversion."
"Bush and the Settlements" -- editorial from the Forward
"The Bush administration has shown what can most charitably be described as
exquisitely bad timing in its reported policy reversal on settlement
construction."

"Shalom: Be'er Sheva Attack Shows Importance of Fence -- from today's
edition of Ha'aretz
"We are confiden that when we have built [the fence], terrorism will stop."

International reaction to the latest brazen act of terrorism:
"As a man who went to Israel as a pro-Palestinian peace activist, I am truly
fed up. I have since changed my views entirely. Enough is enough.
Sam Loos, UK"

" I believe that we must stand with Israel, supporting our ally's right to
build a security fence and to allow its own Supreme Court -- not the
International Court of Justice -- to address the issue of the route of the
fence. The fence has proven its value as an anti-terror measure. ...My
commitment to a safe and secure Jewish state is unwavering. For 19 years,
this is a pledge I have kept in the United States Senate -- whether through
my votes on economic aid, military security or the location of the U.S.
Embassy. And it is one I will continue to keep as I lead a bold new effort
to enhance regional security throughout the Middle East."
